Last year was all about rustic weddings – and we loved it!
Bark-covered vases and mason jars with twine mixed with purples and greens or pastels made for romantic and natural style weddings. Bouquets with succulents and burlap wraps with buttons, Mini logs for placecard holders and lots of candles.
This year we see this trend continuing, but with the popularity of the classic English series ‘Downton Abbey’, we see the trend developing towards a more vintage look with classic tableware and linens, but still keeping the natural country-style florals.we saw last year. For a vintage-inspired bouquet choose something delicate, with a loosely cascading-style (as shown in the bouquet left from Every Last Detail)
Using a mix of multi-petaled blooms such as ranunculus, garden roses in white and ivory shades and delicate greens like maidenhair fern, finish it off with a classic lace ribbon wrap and vintage brooch. And for table centerpieces look for vintage containers like pedestal vases or mercury glass containers and think of that ‘just picked from the garden’ look with roses, freesia, sweet peas and limelight hydrangea. As shown below in some of our pieces alongside the inspiration board (above) from DAWeddings.
